About the Balloon
Balloons are big! My envelop holds 90,000 cubic feet of air and can carry up to three passengers in addition to the pilot. It is made of rip-stop nylon and weighs 218 pounds.
The gondola, or basket is made of wicker, which offers excellent protection to the passengers. It weighs 187 pounds.
The balloon uses propane to heat the air which lifts it. I have a double burner and three 15 gallon tanks of propane. The weight of the burners and full tanks is 381 pounds.
My balloon was built in 2005 by Lindstrand Balloons, a world leader in hot air balloon manufacture.
I call my balloon "Golden Memories" because that is what it creates!
